The Highfill Volunteer Fire Department proudly serves the residents and businesses of Highfill with dedication, professionalism, and a deep commitment to public safety. Our department provides fire suppression, emergency response, and community education β€” all powered by the service of local volunteers.

A Legacy of Service Since 1979

Established in 1979, the Highfill Volunteer Fire Department was created to meet the growing needs of our town in Benton County, Arkansas. Before its formation, Highfill operated with minimal public safety infrastructure, especially after the railroad’s removal in the early 20th century. The launch of a volunteer fire department marked a significant step forward, ushering in a new era of community resilience and preparedness.

Growth and Community Impact

Since its founding, the department has grown alongside Highfill β€” both in size and service. Today, we operate from two fire stations and are led by a Fire Chief and Assistant Fire Chief, supported by a team of dedicated volunteers and modern equipment. Thanks to community support and grant funding, the department has expanded its fleet and invested in improved communication systems.

Our efforts have helped improve the town’s ISO insurance rating, benefiting homeowners with lower insurance premiums and greater peace of mind.

Serving Our Community Year-Round

In addition to emergency response, the department plays an active role in the life of the community β€” participating in local events, public safety education, and Benton County’s hazard mitigation planning efforts. We work closely with other emergency services to ensure fast, effective responses across the region.
