Our Story:
Highfill traces its roots to the pioneering families of the region—like the Highfills, Woodwards, and Gordens—whose apple orchards, hard work, and resourcefulness shaped our town. Though the early railroad days have faded, we continue to grow and prosper, blending our agricultural heritage with new opportunities. Highfill’s history begins in the 1800s with early settlements like Hoover, located just southeast of the present-day city. Hezekiah Highfill, a Civil War veteran and orchard owner, laid the groundwork for what would become the town of Highfill, officially platted in 1906.
