City Council

Highfill City Council Meeting Procedures:

When: Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m.

Where: City Council Chambers at City Hall

Attendance: All are invited to attend either in person or virtually

Virtual Attendance: Zoom link

Sign-In: Attendees should sign the sheet by the door before taking their seats.

Council Packet: A QR code by the sign-in sheet allows access to the Council Packet.

Public Comment: If you’d like to address Council Members, print your name and address on the podium sheet before the meeting starts.

Mayor’s Call: The Mayor will call you up by name during the Public Comment.

Agenda: The agenda and city council packet are available on the homepage or under city documents before each meeting.

Planning Commission

Highfill Planning Commission Meeting Procedures:

When: Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m.

Where: City Council Chambers at City Hall

Attendance: All are invited to attend either in person or virtually

Virtual Attendance: Zoom link

Sign-In: Attendees should sign the sheet by the door before taking their seats.

Council Packet: A QR code by the sign-in sheet allows access to the Planning Commission Packet.

Public Hearing: If you’d like to address Commissioners, print your name and address on the podium sheet before the meeting starts.

Chairperson’s Call: The Chairperson will call you up by name during the Public Hearing.

Agenda: The agenda and planning commission packet are available on the homepage or under city documents before each meeting.

Arbor Day

The City of Highfill takes pride in its status as a Tree City. Each spring and fall, the Walton Family Foundation partners with us to sponsor tree giveaways.

  • Date: to be determined (pending delivery confirmation)
  • Eligibility: Highfill residents
  • Allocation: Each resident can receive two trees per utility bill
  • Process:
    • Have your utility bill ready
    • Once your residence is verified, you can collect two trees
  • Expected Trees: the expected tree list will be communicated via the Highfill Highlights, Facebook, and posted at City Hall

National Night Out

The Highfill Police Department hosts National Night Out annually to foster strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie, making our neighborhoods a safer and more caring places to live and work. This free community event is made possible through sponsorships. If you’re interested in sponsoring, please contact administration at admin@highfillar.com

When: Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Fall Festival

Join us for the annual Highfill Fall Festival, now combined with our Trunk or Treat event! Dress up in your Halloween costume and enjoy a fun, family-friendly community gathering.

Where: Highfill City Park, 180 NW Main Street

When: Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Christmas in the Park

Join us for the annual Christmas in the Park! We invite the entire community to enjoy hot cocoa and the park’s lighting ceremony. Rumor has it, Santa will be making an appearance! To keep this event free, please use your cell phones for phots at our designated spots.
